About Crealo
It is a portmanteau of 'Creative' and 'Lounge'. This is a place of relaxation for folks who have had trouble finding jobs, for newbies who can't find their feet, and for others looking to explore other career paths.
This newsletter caters to every career path in Content and Design. Copywriters, content writers, grant writers, graphic designers, video editors, visual storytellers, journalists, social media managers, product designers (UI/UX), and more.
Why did I build Crealo?
Africa's high unemployment rate and the exploitation of African tech creatives are saddening. It has almost become a norm for every tech folk to get exploited at some point in their journeys. Heck, I am still owed $5600 for months of hard work — I know the pain of putting in so much and getting nothing in return.
I also really understand how frustrating it is to sign up for a class, learn and master a skill, but get no job afterwards — this was me in 2020. But things changed pretty quickly when I found my way around searching for gigs, cold pitching founders, and reaching out to recruiters.
I developed a knack or obsession for finding gigs that pay and pay well, so why not share with more people instead of recommending them to just the people in my circle? Yup!
One year after my first gig and I had already made $1200 on a project, raised my rates well enough, and partnered with some of the biggest brands. This newsletter saves you the stress of doing all the findings yourself, you just have to wait for it to drop twice every week with all the latest and biggest opportunities in the tech space. I walked so you would fly. And you will.
This is also a really newbie-friendly newsletter because I don't just plan to share these gigs with you, I'll also be sharing my tricks to applying and standing out in an array of applications, featuring established creatives to share their processes, and guiding newbies toward mastering their craft. I'll point you to every resource you need, you just need to wait for Wednesdays and Fridays.

Subscription fee
I charge a meagerly $2 (₦1200) per month for access to my newsletters, or $4 ( ₦2500) if you want me to give you a personal recommendation for a gig and put you through the application process. By put you through, I mean, holding your hand and walking you through a step-by-step process. Some people call this coaching and I especially recommend to newbies. And of course, you still receive all the newsletters!
